Thursday -- The friends of Albert Marzetti, whose death occurred Tuesday from lockjaw resulting from a wound received July 4, state that it was not he who was firing the cannon by which he was wounded but that it was some boys across the street.  The lad was standing in front of his father's fruit stand and the boys across the street trained the cannon in his direction.  An investigation will be made to discover if possible the names of the boys who fired the cannon.

DIED OF LOCKJAW ... Albert Marzetti, son of Philip Marzetti, proprietor of the fruit stand on South Main Street, died Tuesday of lockjaw resulting from a wound received July 4.

Marzetti was discharging a small brass cannon and the machine went wrong, the contents entering his left forearm, badly mutilating it.  Lockjaw resulted from the wound and caused his death.  The lad was 15 years of age.  

The funeral were held Thursday at 1 p.m.  The services will be conducted by Rev. Father Magenhann.
